Bright and early Sunday morning in West Duluth, Arthur M. Anderson cast off from CN-Hallett Dock 5 with a load of blast furnace trim destined for Gary at 06:00. American Century was a 15:34 Duluth departure with 68,000 tons of low-sulfur western coal, 38,000 for St. Clair and 30,000 for Monroe. Her berth at SMET was taken by Federal Mayumi later in the evening after the 2012-built saltie was inbound at 19:44. Recent G-tug addition Kentucky assisted the Mayumi through the harbor upon her arrival. Walter J. McCarthy Jr. is still loading at CN Dock 6, and Federal Caribou is anchored off the piers with a tentative July 5 ETA.
