The first one to depart was the Boland under stern first tow by the Vermont at 1AM on the 9th. Next was the CAPRI at 10:30AM when she was also assisted out by the Vermont. Later that evening the 630-foot Sam Laud arrived unexpectedly, bow first, for Lackawanna. They were due in Port Colborne but diverted to Gateway Metroport for some unknown reason. The Laud came in the South Entrance around 7:30PM, winded in the Outer Harbor, backed in for the Main Dock, and secured at the North-East end of the Lackawanna Canal. She was in port for about 3 hours and then left on her own stern first for Port Colborne around 10:45PM.
