Please send information about vessel arrivals and departures from your port to news@boatnerd.net by 9 p.m. (Eastern) nightly for them to be included in the next day’s news. Please include name of vessel, arrival time, day and dock it went to (if known). We welcome new reporters. If your port is not included, we would welcome your contributions. We are particularly looking for reporters for the St. Marys River, Southern Lake Michigan ports, Detroit, Toledo and the Hamilton/Toronto area.

Duluth-Superior – Scott Bjorklund
Duluth Entry: John G Munson departed at 21:29 (CST) Saturday night empty after fueling at Husky; she left to load iron ore pellets at Two Harbors after a lengthy stay unloading limestone at C.Reiss Coal. Paul R. Tregurtha departed at 23:48 with coal. Arthur M. Anderson departed at 00:23 Sunday morning with iron ore pellets. Maltese-flagged salty Ocean Castle arrived from anchor at 17:35 to load wheat at Riverland Ag. As of Sunday night, Ocean Castle was the only vessel in port on the Duluth side. Walter J. McCarthy Jr. is expected Monday morning to load coal at SMET. James R. Barker is expected Monday night to load iron ore pellets at CN#6.
Superior Entry: Burns Harbor departed at 07:09 (CST) Sunday morning with iron ore pellets. As of Sunday night, no vessels were in port on the Superior side. Algoma Guardian is expected Sunday night to load at BNSF. Frontenac is expected Monday morning to load at BNSF. Stewart J. Cort is expected Monday afternoon to also load at BNSF.
Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A Putney
John J. Munson arrived Two Harbors on 6/12 at 23:35. She departed on 6/13 at 08:28 for Gary. Oakglen arrived Two Harbors on 6/13 at 13:11. She’ll be loading for Quebec City. Due Northshore Mining in Silver Bay on 6/14 is the American Integrity.

Sunday; 6:21 tug Molly MI and barge arrived at Keefer Terminal.

Brevort: Sunday; 14:12 Herbert C Jackson arrived to load processed sand.
Port Inland: Sunday; 4:54 Victory / Maumee departed for Fairport.

Thessalon: Sunday; 18:41 Robert S Pierson arrived to unload road salt.
Meldrum Bay: Sunday; 16:05 Saginaw arrived to load limestone.
Port Dolomite: Saturday; 21:33 Great Republic departed for Belle River. Sunday; 14:09 Manitowoc arrived to load limestone.
Calcite: Saturday;23:47 Laura L Van Enkevort departed for Cleveland.
Alpena: Saturday; 20:59 Manitowoc arrived at the Lafarge plant to unload and departed Sunday at 4:49 for Port Dolomite. 

Milwaukee, WI – MKE Marine Reports
After delivering cement to the Kinnickinnic River terminal, Prentiss Brown/St. Marys Challenger cleared for Calumet Harbor at 16:02 Friday (06/11). Federal Yoshino arrived from Cleveland at 21:48 Saturday with steel from IJmuiden, Netherlands. At 16:27 Sunday, the Alpena arrived from Alpena with cement for the Lafarge terminal. Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder is expected Tuesday with salt from Cargill Deicing Technology, Cleveland.

Thessalon: Sunday; 18:41 Robert S Pierson arrived to unload road salt.
Meldrum Bay: Sunday; 16:05 Saginaw arrived to load limestone.
Port Dolomite: Saturday; 21:33 Great Republic departed for Belle River. Sunday; 14:09 Manitowoc arrived to load limestone.
Calcite: Saturday;23:47 Laura L Van Enkevort departed for Cleveland.
Alpena: Saturday; 20:59 Manitowoc arrived at the Lafarge plant to unload and departed Sunday at 4:49 for Port Dolomite.

Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Algoma Compass departed downbound with salt Sunday early evening.

Saginaw River – Todd Shorkey
It has been a busy few days on the Saginaw River.  Saturday saw the first ever visit by the James R. Barker, calling on the Consumers Energy Dock in Essexville to unload coal.  Fleetmate, Herbert C. Jackson, also arrived on Saturday, unloading at the Port Fisher Terminals – Bay Aggregates Dock.  On Sunday, Olive L. Moore – Menominee were inbound, traveling upriver to unload at the Lafarge Stone Dock in Saginaw.  Algoma Innovator was also inbound, unloading at the Sargent Dock in Zilwaukee.

 Lake Erie Ports for Sunday – Bill Kloss
Sandusky:  Kaye E. Barker departed for Zug Island at 16:35. CSL Niagara arrived at 16:57.
Cleveland: Mesabi Miner departed for Two Harbors. American Courage is back on the shuttles for Cliffs. Sea Eagle II/St. Marys Cement II left at 08:17.The tug Manitou arrived from Port Huron at 09:40. She departed at 11:59 with the submarine USS Cod in tow. Cod is going into drydock at Donjon in Erie. Samuel deChamplain/Innovation arrived to unload at Lafarge at 15:31. Algoma Buffalo arrived at 19:44.
Nanticoke: Algoma Conveyor arrived at Stelco at 00:37 and departed at 19:48 for Quebec City. CSL Tadoussac arrived at 01:24. and left for Duluth.  Algosea arrived at Imperial Oil at 02:42. Algonorth departed for Montreal at 15:42.CSL Laurentian arrived at 20:00. Edwin H. Gott is due on Monday.

Buffalo, N.Y. – Brian Wroblewski
Manitoulin departed by herself on the morning of the 11th at 9AM, bound for Toledo. Everybody’s hometown favorite was here on June 13th.  Algoma Buffalo arrived at 12:15AM for Gateway Metroport with a load of salt for the Main Dock. She came in, winded in the Outer Harbor Southern Channel, and backed up the Lackawanna Canal to the bulk unloading apron at the North end. Algoma Buffalo was done unloading at Gateway Metroport and departed on the morning of the 13th bound for Cleveland.
