Please send information about vessel arrivals and departures from your port to news@boatnerd.net by 9 p.m. (Eastern) nightly for them to be included in the next day’s news. Please include name of vessel, arrival time, day and dock it went to (if known). We welcome new reporters. If your port is not included, we would welcome your contributions. We are particularly looking for reporters for the St. Marys River, Southern Lake Michigan ports, Detroit, Toledo and the Hamilton/Toronto area.

Duluth-Superior – Scott Bjorklund
Duluth Entry: Walter J. McCarthy Jr. arrived at 06:36 (CST) Monday morning to load coal at SMET. James R. Barker arrived at 14:20 to fuel at Husky; she shifted to load iron ore pellets at CN#6 after fueling. As of Monday afternoon, Ocean Castle was loading at Riverland Ag and James R. Barker was loading at CN. Walter J. McCarthy Jr. is estimated to depart Monday evening with coal, and James R. Barker is estimated to depart Tuesday morning with iron ore pellets.
Superior Entry: Algoma Guardian arrived at 23:42 (CST) Sunday night to load at BNSF; she departed at 09:41 Monday morning with iron ore pellets for Hamilton, ON. Frontenac arrived at 10:05 from anchor to load at BNSF. As of Monday afternoon, Walter J. McCarthy Jr. was loading at SMET and Frontenac was loading at BNSF. Frontenac is estimated to depart early Tuesday morning with iron ore pellets. Stewart J. Cort is expected early Tuesday morning to load at BNSF.

Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A Putney
Oakglen departed Two Harbors on 6/14 at 06:15 for Quebec City. Due Two Harbors on 6/15 is the Mesabi Miner. Northshore Mining in Silver Bay saw the American Integrity arrive at 15:24 on 6/14.

Milwaukee, WI – MKE Marine Reports
After delivering European steel at Federal Marine Terminals, Federal Yoshino cleared for Burns Harbor at 21:04 Sunday (06/13). Tug John Marshall arrived from Calumet Harbor at 21:06 with three barges to be loaded with grain at the COFCO elevator. Alpena was still at the Lafarge terminal Monday morning. Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder (salt) and Prentiss Brown/St. Marys Challenger (cement) are both expected Tuesday.

Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Algoma Compass cleared 8.06 pm Sunday downbound for Bencancour with salt.  Algoma Innovator arrived at 5.02 am Monday loading at Compass Minerals. Algoma Intrepid arrived at 4.23 pm Monday.

Lake Erie Ports for Monday – Bill Kloss
Marblehead:  American Courage arrived late Monday night.
Sandusky:  CSL Niagara departed for Hamilton at 06:48.
Cleveland:  Samuel deChamplain/Innovation departed for Alpena at 00:11. Algoma Buffalo was loading salt at Cargill. She departed for Thorold at 16:13. Laura L. VanEnkevort/Joseph H. Thompson arrived at 06:29. Sharon MI/ Huron Spirit arrived at 11:40 and anchored in Lake Erie. She came into the Port, dock 24N, at 13:38. American Courage departed at 16:48.
Fairport Harbor:  Victory/Maumee arrived
Conneaut: Edgar B. Speer left for  Two Harbors at 10:11. American Century arrived at 10:10 and went on the hook due to currents. She went to the P&C dock at 13:18.
Erie:  The USS Cod arrived under tow with the tugs Manitou and John Francis at 01:04. DonJon Shipyard will be performing maintenance work on the submarine.
Nanticoke: CSL Laurentian and Edwin H. Gott were at Stelco.  Algoscotia and Algosea were at Imperial Oil.
