Presque Isle is still in Whitefish awaiting passage to Two Harbors. Edwin H. Gott finally has a destination to Gary Works. John G. Munson is still awaiting in Whitefish before heading to Two Harbors.
Marquette, MI – Arthur Pickering
Greetings from Marquette: The 2022-23 shipping season is about to begin here in Marquette. The first ship on the schedule is the Erie Trader. Currently, the Erie Trader is anchored in the upper St Mary’s River waiting for an escort through the ice along with several other vessels. The Erie was due in on Saturday and then was rescheduled for an arrival this afternoon (March 28th). Her arrival is now TBD. Two other vessels are scheduled for a Wednesday morning arrival. Scheduled for Wednesday morning arrivals include the Kaye Barker and the John Borland pending ice conditions.
Sturgeon Bay, WI
Monday around noon saw the Sykes being towed into the graving dock. The Sykes went into the dock, with the tug Joyce VanEnkevort still in the dock as well.
Lake Erie Ports – Bill Kloss
Monroe: New York/Double Skin 509A arrived from Detroit at 11:09
Toledo: Beverly M1 departed with the Manistee scrap tow at 11:08.
Sandusky: Kaye E. Barker went back to load at 06:25 after the railroad delivered more coal to the dock.
Cleveland: Harvest Spirit arrived at 05:09 to unload steel at dock 24W. She departed for Nanticoke at 18:00.
Conneaut: CSL Assiniboine is still at the P&C dock.
Nanticoke: John D. Leitch arrived at 12:15 and anchored. Still anchored are Algosea and Rt. Hon. Paul J. Martin. Will Seymour/Alouette Spirit arrived at Stelco at 18:58.
