USCG Katmai Bay and the Purvis tug Wilfred M. Cohen were downbound Monday morning to LIme Island. Cohen returned upbound light tug in the evening while Katmai Bay remained near Lime Island. USCG icebreaker was inbound at DeTour in the late morning, joining Katmai Bay.
Northern Lake Michigan
Straits of Mackinac; Monday; 7:25 USCG Mackinaw departed Mackinaw City to conduct ice operations in the lower St Marys River. 12:28 USCG Mobile Bay departed US Coast Guard Station St Ignace to conduct ice operations in Lake Michigan. 16:34 USCG Mobile Bay stopped north of Garden Island.
Milwaukee, WI – MKE Marine Reports
After delivering deicing salt at Chicago, Algoma Intrepid was back at the bagging plant this past weekend. Monday morning, a crane barge appeared to be helping offload some remaining cargo. John Marshall arrived from Calumet Harbor at 02:11 Monday with three barges to be filled at the COFCO elevator. Last year the facility filled about 42 barges. Each can carry approximately 1,360 metric tons of Wisconsin soybeans. That equates to almost 60 truckloads.

Monroe: Karen Andrie/Endeavor arrived from Indiana Harbor at 16:07.
Cleveland: Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder left lay up in Toledo and arrived at the Bulk Terminal at 01:47 to load shuttles for Cliffs.
Nanticoke: Algonorth and Algonova have both departed for Sarnia. Harvest Spirit arrived at Stelco at 11:28 to load steel coils. Algocanada is due to arrive Tuesday morning.
