On her way to Calcite for limestone, John G. Munson stopped along the Detroit River for fuel at Mistersky between 01:24 and 03:31 Sunday morning. Harvest Spirit arrived at 05:52 for the western side of Zug Island, and Ocean Voyager tied up at the Carl Levin Public Dock and Terminal two hours later. She is the third cruise ship to use the facility in the past week after Ocean Navigator and Ocean Explorer. As a correction to yesterday’s report, Ocean Navigator and Ocean Explorer are not fleetmates, despite a similar paint scheme – the Navigator is owned and operated by American Queen Voyages, while the Explorer was built just last year for Vantage Deluxe World Travel. Ocean Voyager is a sister ship to Ocean Navigator and also sails for American Queen Voyages. At 08:41, Herbert C. Jackson arrived with another load of coal from Sandusky to discharge at the south end of Zug Island. Cement carrier Alpena was inbound at 13:30 for Lafarge, and cement tug/barge Prentiss Brown/St. Marys Challenger stopped for fuel at Mistersky about an hour later before continuing upbound for Charlevoix. Ocean Voyager departed at 17:58 for Little Current after her passengers spent the day exploring Detroit. Casting off from Zug Island around 19:00 was Herbert C. Jackson, who headed north en route to Rogers City. Across the river, Frontenac arrived Windsor Salt at midnight.

Hamilton, ON – Joshua Hebeisen
Once again, Hamilton saw only one arrival and departure each on Sunday. Fednav’s Federal Hunter arrived at 17:39 to anchor; she reportedly has an import cargo from Kotka, Finland to unload at an unknown dock. Polsteam’s Drawsko was outbound for Thunder Bay just before midnight after unloading steel coils at Federal Marine Terminals. Earlier in the morning, MTM Singapore weighed anchor in the inner harbor and swapped places with Shoveler, who had been discharging fertilizer at Agrico for the past several days. The Singapore will be offloading UAN at the dock while Shoveler, now on the hook, is likely awaiting a grain cargo to backhaul overseas. Federal Ems is loading grain at G3, Bogdan is at P&H taking on the same cargo, and Ruby-T is still at anchor.
