Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A. Putney
The American Spirit departed Two Harbors on 11/15 at 10:01 for Indiana Harbor. Due Two Harbors on 11/16 is the James R. Barker and also the Spruceglen. Northshore Mining in Silver Bay saw the departure of the Dirk S. VanEnkevort/Michigan Trader on 11/14 at 23:29. As of 16:00 on 11/15 she doesn’t have an updated AIS. She probably is headed for Toledo. There is no scheduled traffic for Silver Bay on 11/16
Thunder Bay, ON
Sunday; 21:25 Saginaw arrived and went to anchor south of the Welcome Islands. Monday; 15:51 Kaministiqua 17:03 Federal Champlain departed for Montreal.17:33 Algoma Strongfield departed for Baie Comeau.17:42 Saginaw weighed anchor and proceeded to the Superior Elevator to load grain.
Northern Lake Michigan
Port Inland: Monday; 7:53 Manitowoc arrived to load limestone and departed at 17:48 for Ludington.
Charlevoix: Monday; 9:07 Prentiss Brown / St Marys Challenger arrived at the St Marys plant to load cement products and departed at 17:08 for Grand Haven. 13:26 Caroline McKee / Commander arrived and went to anchor. 17:54 Bradshaw McKee / St Marys Conquest arrived and went to anchor.
Sturgeon Bay, WI
Alpena arrived at Bay Ship Monday morning, a little before 5am, and moored on the dock face.
Milwaukee, WI – MKE Marine Reports
After waiting for conditions on Lake Michigan to improve, Lee A. Tregurtha cleared for Calcite at 03:17 Monday (11/15). Kaye E. Barker, which had spent the night anchored southeast of the city, entered the harbor at 08:46 and tied up at the heavy lift dock. She continued on to Grand Haven midafternoon. Federal Rideau arrived light from Burns Harbor at 10:35. Assisted by G-tugs North Dakota and Louisiana, she headed for the COFCO elevator to load grain. Federal Mosel was still at Federal Marine Terminals unloading steel. Samuel de Champlain/Innovation is expected early Tuesday with cement for Lafarge.
Holland, MI – Bill Van Appledorn
Cuyahoga entered Lake Macatawa Monday 11:25 and docked at Verplank’s to unload aggregate at 12:50. It later moved on to Brewer’s dock for a split load.
Northern Lake Huron
Alpena: Monday; 7:19 Undaunted / Pere Marquette 41 arrived at the Lafarge plant to unload.and departed at 14:34 for Calcite.
Calcite:Sunday; 23:13 The tug Michigan and tanker barge Great Lakes arrived to unload diesel fuel and departed Monday at 5:57 for Cheboygan.19:41 Undaunted / Pere Marquette 41 arrived to load limestone.
Cheboygan: Monday; 10:06 The tug Michigan and tanker barge Great Lakes arrived at the US Oil Co terminal to unload petroleum products.
Bruce Mines: Monday; 3:30 Sam Laud arrived to load trap rock and departed at 14:56 for Chicago.
Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Algoma Transport cleared 5.18am Monday upbound for Superior. Algoma Niagara loading at Compass Minerals. Algoma Innovator tied up North Pier. Algoma Intrepid and Algoma Buffalo expected in that order.
Lake Erie Ports for Monday – Bill Kloss
Monroe: H. Lee White arrived at 07:17, unloaded and departed for Drummond Island at 16:22.
Marblehead: American Courage arrived from Cleveland at 16:02 to load at LaFarge.
Sandusky: Micipicoten went to Norfolk Southern at 21:30. CSL Niagara is still at anchor.
Cleveland: American Courage departed for Marblehead at 03:35. Indiana Harbor arrived at 10:09 to unload at the Bulk Terminal. NACC Argonaut left at 14:17.
Conneaut: Walter J. McCarthy, Jr. departed for Duluth at 17:58.\
Nanticoke: Presque Isle left for Calcite at 12:17. Algoterra and Hinch Spirit are at Imperial Oil. Algonova, Algoscotia and Algocanada are at anchor. Sea Eagle II/St.Marys Cement II left anchorage for Detroit. Frontenac and Olive L. Moore/Menominee are expected to arrive Tuesday.
