Duluth-Superior – Scott Bjorklund
Duluth Entry: Tug Victory and Maumee arrived at 18:33 (CST) Saturday night to load wheat at General Mills, Superior. American Century departed at 01:30 Sunday morning with low sulfur coal for St. Clair. Paul R. Tregurtha arrived at 12:18 to load low sulfur coal at SMET. Dorothy Ann and Pathfinder arrived at 14:02 to unload salt at Envirotech-Hallett #8; they will be loading iron ore pellets at CN#6 on departure. Mesabi Miner departed at 14:28 with iron ore pellets for Indiana Harbor. As of Sunday afternoon, Polsteam’s Miedwie was anchored off Duluth waiting to load wheat at Riverland Ag. Victory and Maumee are expected to depart Sunday night with wheat. Paul R. Tregurtha is estimated to depart early Monday with low sulfur coal. Miedwie is expected to arrive from anchor early morning to load wheat at Riverland Ag. Dorothy Ann and Pathfinder are estimated to depart mid-morning with iron ore pellets. Michipicoten is expected late morning to fuel then load iron ore pellets at the CN#6 gravity dock. James R. Barker is expected mid-afternoon to load low sulfur coal at SMET. Presque Isle is expected early evening to fuel then load iron ore pellets at CN#6. Finally, Arthur M. Anderson is expected Monday night to unload limestone at CN-Hallett #5; they will be loading iron ore pellets at CN#6 on departure.
Superior Entry: Indiana Harbor arrived at 19:35 (CST) Saturday evening to load iron ore pellets at BNSF; they departed at 11:42 Sunday morning with iron ore pellets for Burns Harbor. As of Sunday afternoon, Dorothy Ann and Pathfinder were unloading at Envirotech-Hallett #8, and Paul R. Tregurtha was loading at SMET. No vessels are expected through the Superior Entry until Tuesday.
Two Harbors- Silver Bay – Gary A. Putney
Edgar B. Speer arrived Two Harbors on 10/10 at 03:02 and departed on the same date at 14:20 for Gary. Arriving Two Harbors on 10/10 at 14:32 for South of #2 was the Edwin H. Gott. There is no inbound traffic scheduled for Two Harbors on 10/11. Northshore Mining in Silver Bay saw the arrival of the Dirk S. VanEnkevort/Michigan Trader on 10/10 at 10:30. There is no inbound traffic scheduled for Silver Bay on 10/11.
Marquette, MI – Andrew Pickering
American Spirit and Kaye E. Barker were in port on Sunday.
St. Marys River
The big event Sunday was the upbound passage of Mississagi on her last trip, being towed to Purvis Marine in Sault, ON (see News page for photos) for scrapping. As the Mississagi tow was upbound, Heerengracht was downbound. Presque Isle and Arthur M. Anderson were upbound behind Mississagi. Other upbound traffic included James R. Barker, Algoma Guardian, USCG Neah Bay, Shoveler (to Algoma) and, late, Federal Shimanto, Robert S. Pierson and Hon. James L. Oberstar.
Northern Lake Michigan
Port Inland: Sunday; 5:00 John G Munson departed down bound on Lake Huron.
Charlevoix: Sunday; Prentiss Brown / St Marys Conquest arrived to load cement products.
Southern Lake Michigan – Stephen Sostaric
Great Republic and Burns Harbor were at Burns Harbor Sunday night. Vlieborg was at S. Chicago.

Meldrum Saturday; 21:52 Kaye E Barker departed for Detroit.
Port Dolomite: Sunday; 8:38 Arthur M Anderson departed for Marquette.
Calcite: Saturday; 21:34 Lee A Tregurtha arrived to load limestone. Sunday; 11:53 American Mariner departed for Burns Harbor. 14:25 Lee A Tregurtha departed for a Lake Michigan port.
Stoneport: Saturday; 20:47 Hon. James L Oberstar arrived to load limestone and departed Sunday at 14:35 for Duluth Superior.
Alpena: Sunday; 12:07 Samuel De Champlain / Innovation departed for Milwaukee.
Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Algoma Innovator arrived 4.09 am Sunday loading at Compass Minerals. Innovators’ 17 th appearance for salt this season. Goderich now hosted 140 vessels this season.
Lake Erie Ports for Sunday – Bill Kloss
Sandusky: H. Lee White arrived at 02:15 and took a berth behind Manitoulin. Manitoulin departed at 12:17 for Sault Ste. Marie and the White moved up to load.
Cleveland: Algoma Buffalo arrived at 05:44 and anchored in the lake. Calumet arrived at 16:42 for the Cliffs stone dock and American Integrity arrived at the Bulk Terminal at 17:38.
Fairport Harbor: Manitowoc departed at 05:48 for Toledo.
Ashtabula: American Courage is at the Pinney dock.
Conneaut: Algoma Compass arrived from Goderich at 17:07.
Erie: Algoma Buffalo unloaded salt and departed Saturday night for Cleveland.
Nanticoke: CSL Niagara arrived at 02:13 and anchored off of Port Dover. She arrived at Stelco at 12:30. Algosea arrived at Imperial Oil at 16:40.
Rochester, NY – Tom Brewer
Salvage Monarch with the barge Metis arrived at Lehigh Cement Dock about 8:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.
