Duluth-Superior – Scott Bjorklund
Duluth Entry: Presque Isle arrived at 21:13 (CST) Monday night to fuel then load iron ore pellets at CN#6. Michipicoten departed at 22:33 with iron ore pellets for Sault Ste. Marie. Arthur M. Anderson arrived at 23:48 to unload limestone at CN-Hallett #5. James R. Barker departed at 02:57 Tuesday morning with low sulfur coal for St. Clair. Hon. James L. Oberstar arrived at 05:10 to unload limestone at C.Reiss Coal. Presque Isle departed at 16:06 with iron ore pellets for Gary. Whitefish Bay arrived at 16:25 to load iron ore pellets at CN#6. Miedwie departed at 18:31 with wheat for Casablanca. Arthur M. Anderson departed at 21:15 with blast furnace trim for Gary. Algoma Discovery arrived at 04:58 Wednesday morning to partially load blast furnace trim at CN-Hallett #5. Whitefish Bay departed at 10:03 with iron ore pellets for Nanticoke. As of Wednesday evening, no vessels were in port on the Duluth side. John G. Munson is expected Thursday evening to unload limestone at CN-Hallett #5.
Superior Entry: Stewart J. Cort arrived at 12:52 (CST) Tuesday afternoon to load at BNSF; they departed at 01:07 Wednesday morning with iron ore pellets for Burns Harbor. Hon. James L. Oberstar, after delivering coal to Graymont from SMET, departed at 11:10 empty for Silver Bay. As of Wednesday evening Algoma Discovery was partially loading iron ore pellets at BNSF; they are estimated to depart early Thursday with blast furnace trim and iron ore pellets. American Integrity is expected early morning to load iron ore pellets at BNSF. CSL Laurentien is expected mid-morning to also load iron ore pellets at BNSF.
Two Harbors- Silver Bay – Gary A. Putney
Burns Harbor arrived Two Harbors on 10/13 at 18:07 for South of #2. There is no inbound traffic scheduled for Two Harbors on 10/14. Northshore Mining in Silver Bay saw the departure of the Clyde S. VanEnkevort/Erie Trader on 10/13 at 03:55 for Toledo. After the Hon. James L. Oberstar departed Superior heading for Silver Bay she went to anchor off Sand Island to wait on weather.

Tuesday; 18:21 Frontenac departed for Midland. 1959 Algoma Guardian departed for Quebec City. Wednesday; 4:53 Rt. Hon. Paul J Martin arrived at Viterra A to load grain. 18:12 Osogovo departed for Port Cartier.

Alpena: Wednesday; 14:00 The cement carrier Alpena departed for Milwaukee. 17:51 John J Boland arrived at the Lafarge plant to unload.
Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Algoma Intrepid arrived 4:54 pm Tuesday, loading at Compass Minerals. Intrepid’s 26th appearance for salt this season. Algoma Niagara is on the hook outside the harbor to load salt next.
Lake Erie Ports for Wednesday – Bill Kloss
Monroe: American Century arrived at 05:45 for DTE. She departed at 18:34 for Duluth. NewYork/Double Skin 509A arrived at 06:20.
Marblehead: Calumet arrived from Toledo at 09:49.
Lorain: Cuyahoga arrived at 08:59 with a partial load of stone for Terminal Ready Mix, then left for Cleveland at 14:16.
Cleveland: Fivelborg departed late Tuesday night for Detroit. Walter J. McCarthy arrived at the Bulk Terminal at 12:31. Cuyahoga arrived at 16:42 with a partial load of stone for Allied Road Products. Petite Forte/St.Mary’s Cement arrived at 17:45.
Ashtabula: Olive L. Moore/Menominee left at 11:35 for Stoneport.
Nanticoke: CSL Niagara arrived at Stelco late Tuesday night, unloaded and departed at 15:13. Algoma Hansa departed for Tracy at 10:02. Algocanada is at Imperial Oil.
Buffalo, NY – Brian Wroblewski
After a quiet week, the NACC Capri cleared the Port Colborne piers after departing the Welland Canal at 7PM on the 11th. They went to anchor on the Canadian side of the border just East of Point Abino for the night. They finally pulled up the hooks and came in to meet the Vermont for a tow up to LaFarge at 8AM on the 12th. Later that morning the Vermont came back out to meet the Defiance-Ashtabula and tow them up to Canadian Silica at 11AM. They unloaded there all day and departed at 8PM bound for Toledo. NACC Capri departed LaFarge at 7AM on the 13th with the Vermont on her stern, clearing the Buffalo piers about an hour later bound for the loading docks at Bath, Ontario.
