Edgar B. Speer departed Two Harbors at 15:56 for Conneaut. John G. Munson arrived Two Harbors at 15:56.
Silver Bay, MN – Gary Putney
Dirk S. VanEnkevort/Michigan Trader arrived Silver Bay at 00:34 for probably Toledo.
Milwaukee, WI – John Vogel
The Federal Mosel is still docked in Milwaukee at about 14:00 Sunday at the outer harbor slip on the north side of Terminal 2.
Toledo, OH – Bill Kloss
Departures were American Spirit departed for Duluth-Superior, Manitoulin to Buffalo, and Wilf Seymour/Alouette Spirit to Detroit. Federal Yoshino is currently at Midwest Terminals.
Cleveland, OH – Bill Kloss
ATBs New York/Double Skin 509A and Sea Eagle II/St. Marys Cement II are at Marathon and St. Marys Cement, respectively.

Buffalo, NY – Lackawanna, NY – Tonawanda, NY – Brian Wroblewski
The CSL Niagara arrived light from Nanticoke for Gateway Metroport in Lackawanna around 00:15 on September 30. She came in the South Entrance and turned up the Outer Harbor. After coming to stop off the CRH terminal, the Niagara backed in for the Main Dock’s bulk loading apron. Once secure, the boom was swung over the Port side to clear the deck for two portable conveyors to be positioned over her hatches. Payloaders were used to move the coal off the dockside piles to the conveyor hoppers and load the ship.
Ryba Marine’s tug Thomas Morrish brought her derrick boat, the Ryba 150, and one hopper barge full of stone to the slipway for Seaway Pier #1 later that morning. From there, they began an infill project to close off the slip to the lake for a new park development there. This will forever seal off the docks on the North side of the pier for vessel mooring once the jetty is formed.
CSL Niagara was all set at Gateway on the morning of October 1 and dropped lines around 08:00 bound for Nanticoke. After clearing the Buffalo piers, she disappeared into a thick fog covering Lake Erie. The Manitoulin arrived for the ADM Standard elevator at 16:30.
