Duluth-Superior – Scott Bjorklund
Duluth Entry: James R. Barker departed at 06:45 (CST) Tuesday morning with iron ore pellets for Toledo. Arthur M. Anderson departed at 13:38 with blast furnace trim for Gary. As of Tuesday late afternoon, Heerengracht was unloading at Port Terminal space #2. Great Republic is expected Tuesday night to unload limestone at CN-Hallett #5; they will be loading iron ore pellets at CN#6 on departure. Joseph L. Block is expected early afternoon Wednesday to unload limestone at Graymont. American Integrity is expected early evening to load iron ore pellets at CN#6.
Superior Entry: Algoma Discovery departed at 06:00 (CST) Tuesday morning with iron ore pellets for Hamilton. H. Lee White departed at 14:00 with iron ore pellets for Sault Ste. Marie. Stewart J. Cort arrived at 14:09 to load iron ore pellets at BNSF. As of Tuesday late afternoon, Stewart J. Cort was loading at BNSF. CSL Niagara is expected early Wednesday to load at BNSF. Stewart J. Cort is estimated to depart mid-morning with iron ore pellets. Algoma Equinox is expected mid-morning to load at BNSF.
Two Harbors- Silver Bay – Gary A. Putney
Edwin H. Gott departed Two Harbors on 10/5 at 02:00 for Gary. The Presque Isle arrived Two Harbors on 10/5 for North of #2. She probably loaded between 10,000-20,000 ton at the gravity dock. She then shifted to South of #2 between 14:13 and 14:41. As of 17:00 on 10/5 she was still at the dock. Michipicoten arrived off Two Harbors on 10/5 at approx. 16:15. She’ll probably wait in the lake until the Presque Isle departs. Due Two Harbors on 10/6 is the Burns Harbor. Northshore Mining in Silver Bay saw the departure of the CSL Assiniboine at 04:40 on 10/5 for Quebec City. The Clyde S. VanEnkevort/Erie Trader arrived Silver Bay at approx. 16:42. There is no inbound traffic due Silver Bay on 10/6.
Sturgeon Bay, WI
The Sarter tug William C. Selvick docked on Monday in the small graving dock at Bay Ship. Also, the barge Robert Deegan is in the floating drydock. Elsewhere at Bay, the new Mark W. Barker looks like she’s nearing completion of paint. The LNG barge Clean Canaveral is sitting pierside. The two GLF boats (Blough and Callaway) remain unchanged.
Lake Erie Ports for Tuesday – Bill Kloss
Kingsville: Sharon MI/Huron Spirit arrived at 07:34 to unload at Southwestern Sales. She departed at 20:06 for Sault Ste. Marie. Manitoulin anchored off of Kingsville and waited to unload at Southwestern.
Marblehead: Sharon MI/Huron Spirit left for Kingsville at 02:00. Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder arrived to load at 02:10. She left for Cleveland at 16:47.
Sandusky: Algoma Conveyor departed for Quebec City at 15:59. Sam Laud arrived from Lorain at 12:31.
Lorain: Sam Laud arrived at 04:40, unloaded stone at Carmeuse and departed for Sandusky at 10:14.
Cleveland: Sea Eagle II/St.Marys Cement II departed for Bowmanville at 17:15. Federal Delta is at the Port. Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder arrived late Tuesday night.
Fairport Harbor: Frontenac arrived at 00:48 to load at Morton Salt.
Ashtabula: Victory/ Maumee arrived from Calcite at 04:33, unloaded and left for Toledo at 11:32. Saginaw was a late Tuesday night arrival.
Erie: Sam Laud departed for Lorain Monday night.
Nanticoke: Algocanada and Algoma Hansa are at Imperial Oil.
