Marquette, MI – Oggdo Bogdo
The Hon. James L. Oberstar snuck into Marquette just before midnight at 23:51 to load ore, business as usual. Another regular, the American Spirit, is due at LS&I in the coming days.
Lake Erie Ports – Bill Kloss
Monroe, MI: Queen of the Lakes Paul R. Tregurtha arrived at 10:46 with another cargo of low sulphur western coal to unload at the DTE plant. Once empty, she departed for Superior, WI at 20:35. Meredith Ashton departed for Oswego, NY at 19:07.
Toledo, OH: Dirk S. VanEnkevort/Michigan Trader arrived at Ironville at 07:38. Evans Spirit left for Thunder Bay, ON at 18:21.
Marblehead, OH: American Courage departed for Fairport Harbor at 00:57. Herbert C. Jackson arrived at 08:17 for a load of stone from Holcim.
Sandusky, OH: Radcliffe R. Latimer departed with coal for at 17:51. Florence Spirit arrived at 03:05 and anchored in Lake Erie. Once the Latimer left, she weighed anchor and moved to the Norfolk Southern coal dock at 14:01.
Lorain, OH: John J. Boland departed for Calcite at 15:21.
Cleveland, OH: Herbert C. Jackson left for Marblehead at 03:07. Calumet arrived at 07:24 to unload salt at Osborne. She left for Detroit at 15:33. Mark W. Barker is loading another shuttle. Sea Eagle II/St. Marys Cement II left at 19:11.
Fairport Harbor, OH: Calumet departed at 02:04 with salt for Cleveland. Kaye E. Barker arrived at 07:58, unloaded stone at Osborne and then left for Meldrum Bay at 11:58. American Courage anchored in Lake Erie to wait for the Barker to unload. She docked to unload at Osborne at 12:36.
Conneaut, OH: Edgar B. Speer left for Two Harbors, MN at 06:22.
Nanticoke, ON: Departures were Atlantic Huron empty for Stoneport and Algonorth with petroleum products for Tracy, QC. Arrivals were Algoma Hansa at 08:02 for Imperial Oil, Whitefish Bay at 11:26 with ore for Stelco and Algocanada at 14:05, anchoring off of Port Dover. Whitefish Bay departed for Windsor at 20:41.
