Due Two Harbors on 9/15 are the Presque Isle, Edwin H. Gott, and the Manitoulin. NorthShore Mining in Silver Bay saw the arrival of the James R. Barker at 03:27 on 9/14. As of 18:00 on 9/14 she is still at the dock. Possibly due Silver Bay late on 9/15 is the Clyde S. VanEnkevort/Erie Trader.
Thunder Bay, ON
Tuesday; 7:44 The saltie Puna arrived at Thunder Bay Terminals to load potash. 12:09 Tim S Dool departed for Baie Comeau. 13:23 The saltie Lake St Clair weighed anchor and proceeded to the Superior Elevator to load grain. 19:03 Harvest Spirit arrived at the Richardson Current River Terminal to load grain.
Marquette, MI – Arthur Pickering
The 1,000-foot-long American Spirit arrived at at LS&I Marquette Monday evening, September 13, the first of two scheduled visits.
Northern Lake Michigan
Brevort: Monday; 12:56 Defiance / Ashtabula arrived to load processed sand and departed Tuesday at 4:30 for Buffalo.
Northern Lake Huron
McGregor Bay: Tuesday; 2:40 Samuel De Champlain / Innovation arrived at the Lafarge Whitefish River Terminal to unload cement products and departed at 20:35 for Alpena.
Meldrum Bay: Tuesday; 18:58 Kaye E Barker arrived and went to anchor.
Calcite: Tuesday; 12:00 American Mariner arrived to load limestone.
Stoneport: Monday; 22:13 Sam Laud arrived to load limestone and departed at 7:29 for Monroe. Kaye E Barker had been at anchor since 1:02 proceeded to the dock to load and after partially loading departed at 14:17 for Meldrum Bay.
Alpena: Tuesday; 7:09 G L Ostrander/ Integrity arrived at the Lafarge plant to load cement products and departed at 19:20 for Milwaukee.
Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Algoma Innovator arrived 4.05 pm Tuesday loading at Compass Minerals. Innovator’s 14 th appearance for salt. Algoma Sault expected next.
Detroit River
Wilfred Sykes passed downbound at Detroit Tuesday evening. Due to waves of severe weather/winds moving through, they bypassed their Dearborn (Rouge River) destination and headed down into Lake Erie waiting for the weather to improve.
Lake Erie Ports for Tuesday – Bill Kloss
Marblehead: Olive L. Moore/Menominee arrived at 15:06. Sharon MI/Huron Spirit arrived and went to anchor.
Sandusky: Manitowoc departed at 09:41.
Cleveland: Edenborg departed for Detroit. Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder arrived at 07:41 to load salt at Cargill. Sharon MI/Huron Spirit departed at11:14. Federal Elbe left for Burns Harbor at 18:32. Fortunagracht are at the Port docks. McKeil Spirit is at Lehigh Cement.
Fairport Harbor: American Courage unloaded at Osborne and left for Cedarville at 04:39.
Nanticoke: Olive L. Moore/Menominee left for Marblehead. Algocanada is at Imperial Oil.
