Duluth-Superior – Scott Bjorklund
Duluth Entry: Algoma Innovator arrived at 04:07 (CST) Monday morning to unload salt at Compass Minerals. Paul R. Tregurtha departed at 09:39 with low sulfur coal for St. Clair. Algoma Innovator departed at 13:08 empty for Thunder Bay. As of Monday night, Federal Churchill was unloading at CRH. Arthur M. Anderson is expected late Monday night with limestone for CN-Hallett #5; they will be loading blast furnace trim at the same dock. James R. Barker is expected early Tuesday to load low sulfur coal at SMET. American Integrity is expected late morning to load iron ore pellets at CN#6.
Superior Entry: Walter J. McCarthy Jr. departed at 02:57 (CST) Monday morning with iron ore pellets for Burns Harbor. As of Monday night, no vessels were in port on the Superior side. No vessels are expected until Thursday.
Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A. Putney
Due Two Harbors on 9/21 is the Presque Isle. Northshore Mining in Silver Bay saw the arrival of the Lee A. Tregurtha on 9/20 at 11:05. Due Silver Bay on 9/21 is the Dirk S. VanEnkevort/Michigan Trader.
Thunder Bay, ON
Sunday; 20:04 Federal Bering departed for Montreal. Monday; 14:10 The saltie Ijzerborg arrived at Keefer Terminal to unload.
Southern Lake Michigan – Stephen Sostaric
South Chicago: Whitefish Bay departed Friday morning to shift over to Indiana Harbor. Fortunagracht remained in Chicago Monday.
Indiana Harbor: Wilfred Sykes departed late Sunday night to shift to Burns Harbor, returning to Indiana Harbor Monday afternoon. Whitefish Bay shifted to Indiana Harbor from South Chicago Monday morning.
Gary: Edgar B. Speer arrived in Gary to unload late Monday afternoon.
Port of Indiana – Burns Harbor: Indiana Harbor departed and went back out into the lake to anchor late Sunday night to make room for Wilfred Sykes coming over from Indiana Harbor. Once the Sykes departed, Indiana Harbor came back into Burns Harbor to continue unloading. Federal Elbe remained in port on Monday.
Muskegon: John G. Munson departed Muskegon Monday afternoon bound for Calcite.
Northern Lake Huron
McGregor Bay; Sunday 21:57 Algoma Buffalo departed for Goderich.
Drummond Island: Monday; 2:19 Laura L Van Enkevort / Joseph H Thompson departed for Fairport. 3:29 Great Republic arrived to load limestone and departed at 18:25 for Buffington.
Port Dolomite: Monday; 7:15 Joseph L Block departed for Indiana Harbor.
Calcite: Sunday; 19:18 The tug Albert and tanker barge Margaret departed for Sarnia. 20:18 Victory / Maumee arrived to load limestone. Monday; 5:21 John J Boland departed for the Saginaw River. 16:09 H Lee White arrived to load limestone.
Stoneport: Monday; 1:50 Dorothy Ann / Pathfinder departed for Detroit. 4:47 Defiance / Ashtabula arrived to load limestone. 8:42 Herbert C Jackson arrived and went to anchor.
Alpena: Sunday; 22:46 Samuel De Champlain arrived to load cement products. Monday; 3:09 Undaunted / Pere Marquette 41 arrived at the Lafarge plant to unload and departed at 12:03 for Port Dolomite.
Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Algoma Intrepid cleared 12.46 pm Monday upbound for Fisher Harbour with salt. Algoma Buffalo arrived 12.29 pm Monday loading at Compass Minerals. Algoma Sault and Algoma Conveyor expected next in that order.
Lake Erie Ports for Monday – Bill Kloss
Monroe: Manitowoc arrived at 12:25. She unloaded and left for Toledo at 19:07.
Kingsville: Sam Laud arrived at 18:34 to unload at Southwestern Sales.
Cleveland: Irma arrived at 06:04 and went to dock 24W at the Port. Cuyahoga arrived at 06:12 and went to RiverDock to unload. She departed for Detroit at 18:05. NACC Capri is at LaFarge, arriving there at 10:50. Petite Forte/St. Mary’s Cement arrived at 17:05 and went to the Jefferson St. terminal to unload.
Ashtabula: American Mariner arrived from Calcite at 03:52. She unloaded and left at 16:02.
Nanticoke: Algonova left Sunday night for Sarnia. CSL Niagara departed at 07:12 for Buffalo. Algosea departed for Sarnia.
